Professional Highlights:
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and bring over a decade of experience supporting youth and young adults in both therapeutic and educational settings. Before entering the counseling field, I spent 10+ years working directly with adolescents and their families, helping them navigate challenges related to mental health, identity development, and emotional regulation. I also hold a Master’s in Bioethics from Johns Hopkins University where I studied patient-provider relationships as well as the ethical treatment of transgender and gender diverse youth.
I am certified in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and am one of only eight Certified Hormonal Transgender Treatment of Minors Providers in Utah. I also incorporate Evidence-Based Practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my clinical work. I currently provide individual therapy to adolescents (13+) and adults, and offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. I currently have an Associate license in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and expect to receive full licensure in 2026. I am supervised by Dr. Marty Erickson, LMFT.
Specialties:
As a therapist, I am developing specialties in working with LGBTQIA+ folx, individuals navigating faith transitions or spiritual shifts, and people who have been personally, professionally, or familially impacted by medical conditions and medical trauma. I also have a strong background in women’s issues and identity exploration.
In therapy I offer support for people dealing with anxiety, depression, self-harm, and the emotional complexities that arise from significant life transitions. I work to help people reconnect with themselves, build emotional resilience, and explore their identities in safe and meaningful ways.
In session, I aim to offer a space that balances curiosity, connection, and clarity. Therapy with me is collaborative-I bring evidence-based tools and genuine presence, while you bring your lived experience, insight, and your wants/needs. Together, we’ll work to identify what matters most to you and how to live a life that reflects those values.
I believe that humor, compassion, and genuineness can be powerful therapeutic tools, and I strive to make therapy a space where you feel both deeply seen and gently challenged.
Let’s take the next step together-toward growth, healing, and self-discovery.
Cami has immediate openings in-person in SLC and for teletherapy for anyone in Utah.
