Professional Highlights
I am a fourth-year doctoral candidate in Counseling Psychology at BYU, working under the supervision of Dr. Adam Fisher, PhD. I earned my BS in Neuroscience from BYU in 2020 and have been providing therapy services since 2024. I will also be under the supervision of Dr. Marty Erickson here at Progressive Paths Therapy.
Specialities
I work with emerging adults, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship distress, sexual health concerns, trauma, neurodivergence, identity development, faith transitions and mixed faith relationships, and vocational concerns. I also have experience leading Sexual Concerns group therapy at BYU for problematic or out of control sexual behavior. I enjoy working with clients from diverse cultural, religious, and LGBTQIA+ identities and I am committed to a culturally humble, affirming, and ethical practice.
My style is warm, collaborative, and curious. I try to create a space where you can feel safe, seen, supported, and challenged towards growth. Together, we will look at patterns that may be contributing to you feeling stuck, including within your thoughts, emotions, bodily responses, relationships, family experiences, culture, identity, and values. From there, we will work to loosen what feels rigid or constraining and explore new ways of relating to yourself and others that feel more flexible, aligned, and sustainable.
From an integrative systemic therapy framework, I draw on ideas from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Differentiation theories. I am also trained in Biofeedback and I incorporate mind–body approaches grounded in mindfulness and evidence-based practices. In session, all of this may look like slowing down, making sense of your experience in context, building emotional and physiological awareness, practicing self-compassion, strengthening nervous system regulation, and identifying steps toward a more authentic and connected self.
I also have training in psychological assessment, including ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, OCD, and other concerns as well as experience supporting neurodivergent individuals. I strive to provide care that feels collaborative, individualized, and responsive to the complexity of your unique needs and experiences. My hope is that therapy with me feels like a place where honesty, curiosity, and compassion can help you move toward greater flexibility, a stronger sense of self, and increased connection.
