Specialties
I work with adult individuals and I have experience providing group therapy. My approach is person-centered; I believe that people are the experts on their lives, and my role is to work alongside them, highlighting their personal priorities in a non-judgmental and validating manner. I enjoy working with depression, anxiety, faith crises and transitions, family and relationship concerns, substance use, eating disorders and eating disordered behaviors. I use various approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, and family systems. As a trauma-informed therapist, I am certified in trauma-focused CBT, and aim to foster autonomy and safety in session. I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative professional and strive to practice cultural humility. In my work, I integrate all aspects of peoples’ lives (including biological, psychological, social, and spiritual) in order to promote growth as well as a better understanding of nuanced, personal issues. Ultimately, I am honored to be a part of the therapeutic process and commit to uphold the personal healing and empowerment of each individual client.
